Questions
- SaaS vs self hosted, what is the difference?
- Both provide great experiences for our clients. With SaaS the data infrastructure is provided by Biotensis, and the client just needs internet access. In a self hosted solution, the software runs on the client infrastructure, requiring its own support and maintenance. A self hosted solution allows for a more custom deployment and local integration with its already existing systems. For most clients, SaaS is the better choice.
- Is it possible to integrate with other systems if we chose a SaaS option?
- Our SaaS products securely interface with other software solutions over the internet. So, from our perspective, the answer is positive. That said, not all products our client have allow for integration outside the local network.
- Do self hosted solutions evolve?
- Our solutions have a maintenance service embedded during the contract and, unless the client specifies otherwise, self hosted deployments will benefit from the same software improvements as the SaaS version does.
